Andréa Borrero is an E-RYT 500 hour Certified Yoga Instructor, with over 1000+ hours of training. Her strong athletic flow combines the principals of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Power Yoga, and Thai Yoga bodywork; emphasizing strength, intention, meditation
and focused breath.
She first started practicing in 1997 at Integral Yoga in downtown Manhattan and fell in love with yoga from the first moment she took class: the breath, the bliss, the feeling of SPACE around her. Andréa knew she wanted to teach yoga halfway thru her 200-hour teacher training. She quote, "...Got the bug and wanted to share." Andréa decided to get certified in 2007 as she contemplated her next life move...little did she know she had just begun a journey that has now turned into a career. She is currently the Manager of Teacher Trainings, Workshops & Special Events at Pure Yoga in New York City.
Andréa received both her 200-hour (2007) and 300-hour (2008) certification from New York Yoga under the guidance of Kristin Leal. In addition, she's completed teacher trainings with David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Jill Miller, Scott Harig, Yogi Charu and Maty Ezraty. She brings an ever-expanding knowledge of bodywork to her classes, specializing in Thai Yoga Bodywork
and Marma Point Therapy.
